Ralph Willing Chaney

October 22, 1919 – December 19, 2020

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 23, 2000, in Milwaukie Presbyterian Church for Ralph Willing Chaney, who died Dec. 19 at age 81.

Mr. Chaney was born Oct. 22, 1919, in Portland. He graduated from Benson High School and from Oregon State College. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army Air Forces in Europe. He was an insurance agent for Metropolitan Life for 25 years until retiring in 1982. He was a member and a deacon of the church and was a past president of the Oregon City Rotary. In 1949, he married P. Maxine Sodberg.

Survivors include his wife; son, Steven; daughter, Laura M.; sister, Margaret Shearer; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Interment will be in Willamette National Cemetery. The family suggests remembrances to his church. Arrangements are by Crown Cremation & Funeral Services.
