Paul Tucci, MD, beloved by his family, friends and community passed away in his home on Monday, October 18, 2010 after a two-year battle with cancer. He is survived by his three children John, Brenda and Andrea, his grandson Maxwell and daughter in-law Lynn. A graduate of New York University and New York Medical College, Dr. Tucci served as a navigator in the Army Air Corps during World War II.

He was Professor Emeritus at New York Medical College (with over 50 years of service), Diplomate of the National Board of Examiners and the American Board of Urology, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, the New York Academy of Medicine, New York State Medical Society, Westchester County Medical Society, American Geriatric Society Academy of Medicine, The Societe Internationale d'Urologie and the Society of University Urologists.

Dr. Tucci was a member of the Admission Student Faculty Committees at New York Medical College and was an associate Editor of New York Medical Quarterly. He served on the Board of Trustees for Mt. Vernon Hospital. He was an Honorary Police Surgeon for the City of Mount Vernon and a member of the American Federation of Police. He also served on the local and national Boards of the American Red Cross and the Podiatric School of Medicine in New York City.

Dr. Tucci was awarded Physician of the Year at Our Lady of Mercy Medical Center in 1991 where he served as Director of Urology for over 16 years. He authored numerous papers published in the Journal of Urology, Urology, International Surgery and New York Medical Quarterly. He lectured for the Greater New York Registered Pharmacists and the International Urological Science Seminars.

Proud of his Italian Heritage he received the American Committee of Italian Migration's Medicine and Health Service Award. He enjoyed playing Bridge and Golf with all his friends at the Westchester Country Club. His sense of humor was infectious and Good Medicine for all!
