Peter D. Trotta, 79, of 85 Brimsmead St., a retired building contractor, died Tuesday, June 6, in Marlboro Hospital after a brief illness.
He leaves his wife of 53 years, Jane J. (Zuk) Trotta; a sister, Jane Seymour of Tucson, Ariz.; several nieces and nephews. He was born in Marlboro, son of Alfred and Carmella (Sengenario) Trotta. A World War II Army Air Forces veteran, he served in Europe and received two Bronze Stars and the Purple Heart.
Mr. Trotta operated Trotta Brothers Construction Co., retiring in 1991.
He was a member of St. Ann's Parish, and was an usher for 30 years. He was a member of the former Holy Name Society and the Loyal Order of Moose.
The funeral will be held Friday, June 9, from William R. Short and Son Funeral Home, 95 West Main St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Ann's Church, 466 Lincoln St. Entombment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester.
