JOHN GROVES KORMAN, 83, loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away on Friday, September 19, 2003 in Houston, Tx. He was born on July 17, 1920 in Taylor, Texas. John served his country in World War II in the Army of the United States, 412th Bomb Squadron, 95th Bomb Group (H). He was a Prisoner of War for 22 1/2 months.

John graduated form Texas A & M University in the class of '43 with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and was past president and founder of the Home Metal Shop Club in Houston, Texas.

John is survived by his wife of 56 years, Maudean Morgan Korman; son, Tommy and wife Wendy; daughter, Sue and husband Perry Laabs; grandchildren, Amber and Andrew Laabs of Clear Lake City, Texas.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday morning September 24, 2003 at 11:00a.m. at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Parkway. Honorary Pallbearers will be Paul Shinsky, Gordon Grifths, Harry Campbell, P.A. Penley, C.L. Moody, Mike Korman, Patrick Walsh, R.C. Korman, Ray Orman and J.R. Downing.
