James J. Saunders

February 26, 1922 – January 28, 2011

James J.Saunders, 88, of Clearwater, Fla., passed away January 28, 2011. He was a native of Westeld, N.Y., where he moved from to this area in 1959. He was a retired crane operator, a U.S. Army Air Force veteran of World War II and a Jack of trades and a master of none.

Survivors include his two daughters, Mary Rawls and Dorothy Fulford; two sons, James and Robert Saunders; three sisters, Violet Nellis, Agnes Winkleman and Audrey Caddis; his brother, Earl Saunders; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and three great-great- grandsons. Funeral services will take place at 1 p.m. Tuesday, February 1, at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1:30-3 p.m. Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home, 2853 Sunset Point Road, Clearwater, FL 33759.
