Leffel H. Bean, 84, of Mountain Home passed away Saturday, January 12, 2008, at his residence. A funeral will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Roller Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Ken Burton officiating. Visitation will be noon-9 p.m. today at the funeral home with family receiving friends 6-8 p.m.

He was born January 17, 1923, in Gamaliel to Ralph and Era (Stinnett) Bean. He married Dorothy Ratzlaff March 3, 1945, in Denver. He was retired sales manager for Borden Milk Co. for 37 years. He was a member of North Street Church of Christ. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran who served during World War II.

Mr. Bean is survived by two sons, Gary Bean of Mountain Home and Darrell Bean and wife, Pamela, of Houston, Texas; a sister, Juanita L. Stone of Mountain Home; four grandchildren, Corey Bean, Todd Bean, Shawn Bean and Jamie Lamberth; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Dorothy Bean; a sister, Rachel F. Bean; and a brother, Tan T. Bean.

Interment will be at Bean Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association or South Christian Children’s Home in Morrilton.
