September 27, 1905 ­– February 27, 1983

 

Robert P. Bothast, age 77, of 781 Ashland Drive, Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away Sunday Frebruary 27 at the Corpus Christi Spac Hospital. He was a former resident of the Dayton area. He was born September 27, 1905 in Union City, Indiana, the son of Adolph and Lucetta (Hinkle) Bothast. He was retired from WPAFB where he was supervisor in maintenance. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army. He was an active Mason for 50 years and played Santa Claus in the Dayton area for 38 years.

He is survived by a niece, Eileen Taylor of Union City, Indiana. Visitation Wednesday evening from 608 p.m. at the Burcham Funeral Home, 119 E. Main St., Fairborn. Services 11 a.m. Thursday from the funeral home. Burial Dayton Memorial Park.
