Fitje L. Pitts

June 6, 1917 – October 31, 2008

On October 31, 2008, FITJE LAVINIA PITTS, died peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her family. She is survived by her three children, Tilghman G. Pitts, III and Stephen M. Pitts both of Princeton, NJ, and H. C. Pitts, II of Baltimore, two daughters-in-law, six grandchildren and innumerable nephews and nieces. Her husband of 25 years, Tilghman G. Pitts, Jr. died April 11, 1974. She is predeceased by her five brothers and sisters.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2008 at 11 A.M. at St. David's Episcopal Church, 4700 Roland Avenue in Baltimore. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made in her name to the SPCA where she served on the board for many years. The address is MD SPCA, 3300 Falls Road, Baltimore, MD 21211.
