CARLSEN Roger A. Age 92 Passed away peacefully.

Roger survived two B17 crashes in WWII. After capture in Germany, he spent 18 months as a POW. While being marched from Poland back to Germany, Roger and a fellow prisoner escaped, hiding for two weeks before being rescued by British infantry. He never complained and never held a grudge; may we all be inspired by his will to live.

Roger is preceded in death by his wife, Jean. He is survived by his daughters Nancy, Julie, and Susan, and sons Roger and Chris. Service Thursday, August 4, 11:00 A.M. at BRADSHAW CELEBRATION OF LIFE CENTER, 2800 Curve Crest Boulevard (NW corner of Hwy 36 and Co. Rd 5), Stillwater. Visitation two hours prior to service. Interment at Fort Snelling following service.

In lieu of flowers, donations preferred to the 95th Bomb Group.
