THE 8th AIR FORCE
THE EIGHTH AIR FORCE (formerly known as VIII Bomber Command) was one of the many Allied Air Forces to participate in the air war of World War II. Proudly referred to as the MIGHTY EIGHTH, this large amalgamation of numerous Air Divisions, Combat Wings, and Bomb Groups included our 95th Bombardment Group (H).

3rd AIR DIVISION
THE THIRD AIR DIVISION was the second level under the EIGHTH AIR FORCE and included the 13th Combat Bombardment Wing.
13th COMBAT BOMBARDMENT WING
THE 13TH BOMBARDMENT WING was created on October 1942 and assigned to the Eighth Air Force. The Wing was moved to England in May-June of 1943, and re-designated as the 13th Combat Bombardment Wing (Heavy) in August 1943. The Bombardment Groups were assigned in September of 1943.
