William T. Williams, Jr.

November 29, 1925 – July 2, 2012

William (Bill) T. Williams, Jr., age 87, born November 29, 1925, in Memphis, Tennessee, passed away Monday, July 2, after a lengthy illness at his residence, Copperfield Estates Senior Living Community on West Road in Houston, Texas. 



He served in the 95th Bomb Group of the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII in the European theater, as a gunner on B-17s. Bill was a graduate of the University of Houston.

Throughout his life Bill worked tirelessly for and then retired from the Texas Employment Commission, where he enthusiastically and successfully sought to find jobs for many fellow Texans for many years.

ill was an enthusiastic and life long member of both the First United Methodist Church, in downtown Houston, where he and Judy taught Sunday School for many years, and of the Houston Downtown Lions Club. He was also a lifelong monthly blood donor for most of his adult life.

ill is survived by his nephew, Mike Schultz of Houston, and niece, Ann E. Schultz Creel of Fort Davis, Texas, and Janine Perkinson Zener of Houston, and their respective families.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Julieta (Judy) Perkinson Williams, and his devoted sister, Ann E. Williams Schultz, and his parents, mother Regina Benson Williams, all of Houston, and father William T. Williams of New York.
