In deep sadness, the Memorials Foundation and the Heritage Association announce that Frank Barbour of Ozark, AL, left formation on 4 July 2019, aged 97 years. Frank was a 335th co-pilot and later served in Korea and Vietnam. Folded wings.
He was born in Boston, MA, on 1 August 1922. As his obituary reads, Frank “joined the Army Air Corps at the beginning of World War II. He became a decorated B-17 pilot during the war and also served in the Korean andVietnam Wars. A retired Lt. Colonel, he was a true American hero. He was loved by everyone, and he loved everyone in return. Frank is survived by his wife, Janice Barbour; his daughters, Donna Jenkins, Carol Jelke, Sandra Moore; stepchildren, Kristenia Jones and James Spears; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. www.wardwilson.com.”
