Theodore Hempen

April 30, 1923 – September 24, 2019

In deep sadness, the Memorials Foundation and the Heritage Association announce that Theodore Hempen of House Spring, MO, left formation on 24 September 2019 at the age of 96 ½ years old. Ted was a 336th waist gunner who was wounded in action. Folded wings.

Ted was born on 30 April 1923 and flew 23 missions between October 1944 and February 1945 with Clarence Earley’s crew.

He was predeceased by his wife Beverly J. Hempen, who passed away in July 2014. Ted was the loving father of Jack (Kristi) Hempen and Nancy (Tim) Schriewer; dear grandfather of Kevin, Bryan, Casey, Joe, Erik, Kadie; cherished great-grandfather of Bobby, Jack, Sam, Tanner, Claire, and Olivia.

Our sincerest condolences to the Hempen family at the immeasurable loss of yet another precious 95th Veteran. With gratitude to Ted’s daughter for informing Linda Endris of his passing.
