BEDFORD 􏰁 Ralph B. Alexander, 74, of Bedford, died Monday at Dunn Memorial Hospital. Born Feb. 12, 1924, in Rydel, Ga., he was the son of Walter A. and Mamie (West) Alexander.

He retired in 1986 from General Motors with more than 35 years of service and was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He was a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth (Bolding) Alexander; one son, Michael Alexander of Bedford; one sister, Thelma Terhune of Rome, Ga.; three granddaughters and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.

Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Day & Carter Mortuary in Bedford with the Revs. Jon Lineback and Steve Braden ofciating. Burial will be at Cresthaven Memory Gardens, where military graveside rites will be conducted by American Legion Gillen Post 33.

Friends may call 4-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
