Charles Turner Hornbuckle, 56, Jacksonville, Florida, formerly of Kansas City, died Friday at a hospital in Jacksonville. He was born in Joplin and lived here most of his life until moving to Jacksonville in 1959. He had been the vice president of City Coach Line Inc., Jacksonville, for 19 years. Mr. Hornbuckle was a member of the Episcopal Church of Our Savior, Jacksonville. He was a member of the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce and Rotary Club. He was formerly a certified public accountant for the Arthur Andersen & Co., Kansas City, and a member of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church.

He was an Army Air Force veteran of World War II and an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He was graduated from the University of Kansas in 1948 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in business. 

He leaves wife, Mrs. Mary B. Hornbuckle of the hom; two sons, Jon E. Hornbuckle, Birmingham, Alabama, and D. Christopher Hornbuckle, Clearwater, Florida; his mother, Mrs. David F. Hornbuckle, Overland Park; a brother, David F. Hornbuckle Jr., Overland Park; a sister, Mrs. Perry Lewis, Huron, South Dakota; and four grandchildren.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Monday at the church; entombment in Oak Lawn Mausoleum, Jacksonville. The family requests no flowers and suggests contributions to the church.
