Howard M. "Peter" Rand Jr.

March 25, 1926 – October 28, 2004

Howard M. Jr., "Peter," passed away at Morristown Memorial Hospital on Oct. 28, 2004, he was 78. Howard served in the 8th Air Force 95th Bomb Group 412 Squadron during WWII and received a Purple Heart. Howard was in the Air Corp from 1944-1946.

Adored husband of Andrea (nee Littlehele), brother of Carlie and his wife, Jean Rand, father of Samantha, Christopher and Peter, grandfather of Marley and Will Gibbons and Candace Rand.

Peter had a great love of nature. We loved watching birds and working around the yard together in which we created a garden paradise. Sitting on our terrace, having a pop and enjoying all our labors of love was a favorite pastime for us. We enjoyed a wonderful 30 years together.

We would like everyone who knew him to say a prayer for him. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the N.J. Audubon Society would be appreciated.

There will be no funeral services as per his wishes. His family will share his ashes and spread them in places he loved. There will be no good-byes, just a fond remembrance. The arrangements were under the direction of The DANGLER FUNERAL HOME, 600 Speedwell Ave., Morris Plains, N.J. 07950.
