Charles E. Shaughnessy
June 5, 1918 – September 26, 2000
Charles E. Shaughnessy, 82, died Sept. 26, 2000. He was born in Bangor, and graduated from John Bapst High School, later moving to Milton, Mass, retiring as a postal supervisor after 45 years.
He was a captain in the Army-Air Corps during World War II and was a Prisoner of War for 16 months in Germany.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis (Coughlin) Shaughnessy, two sons, Ralph and Robert of Weymouth, Mass; a daughter, Judith Park of Hampton, N.H.; one brother, Richard Shaughnessy of Brewer and three granddaughters.
Services were held in Milton, Mass.
