Ralph LaVern Brunsdon

Ralph LaVern Brunsdon, a 61-year resident of the Centrailia and Chehalis area, died at the age of 77, Saturday, October 18 at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia.
Brunsdon was born May 19, 1920 in Eckley, Colorado to Clarence and Dena (Kolk) Brunsdon, and graduated from Centralia High School in 1937.
On August 13, 1941, he married Donna Saari, who died in 1993 after 51 years of marriage.
A veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during World War II, he was an Army crew chief in the 336 Bomber Squadron in England.
He retired from West Coast Grocery in 1976, where he drove truck.
His memberships included Elks Lodge; American Legion; Veterans of Foreign Wars; and Teamsters Union.
He enjoyed gardening and growing flowers.
Survivors include three sisters, Ruth Harris of Centralia, Pauline Lowry of Vader and Alberta Galford of Vancouver, Washington; a brother, Robert of Clatskamie, Oregon, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation may be made from 1 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday at Newell-Hoerling’s Mortuary in Centralia, which is in charge of arrangements.
A graveside service for Ralph LaVern Brunsdon will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Chehalis, with Robert Gaul officiating. Jerry Harris will deliver the eulogy.
