Russell Ford Myers, 76, of Manteca died Saturday at Doctors Hospital of Manteca.

Mr. Myers was a native of Missouri. He lived in Manteca 50 years. He was a dispatcher for Karlson Bros. Trucking 19 years, then he worked at Center Plumbing until his retirement. He served in the Air Force during World War II; he was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, 8th Air Force 95th Bomb Group.

He is survived by his wife, Inez Myers of Manteca; children, Rick Myers of Modesto, and Peggy Marshall and Jill Hoagland, both of Manteca; brother, Charles L. Myers of Missouri; sisters, Marie Sutter, Mamie Deatz and Myrtle Green, all of Missouri; and six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at P.L. Fry & Son Chapel Private burial will follow. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. today at the chapel.
