Charles Michael Hepworth
July 5, 1919 – September 27, 2006
Charles Michael Hepworth, 87, died at Liberty Shores in Poulsbo.
He was born to Charles Vern and Mabel Ann (Duggy) Hepworth in Salt Lake City, and raised in Albion, Idaho.
Mr. Hepworth attended Albion High School and graduated from Albion Normal School and Glendale Junior College in Glendale, Calif., before joining the Army Air Corps during World War II.
He served with the 8th Air Force and was lead navigator for divisions of B-17s out of England, including those own on D-Day. He was awarded the Air Medal and the Distinguished Flying Cross before being discharged in 1945.
He married Dee (Simmons) Hepworth on April 12, 1946.
He graduated from Idaho State University School of Pharmacy in 1948 and worked for companies in Idaho, Seattle and Spokane until retiring in 1984. He was former president of the Spokane Pharmaceutical Representatives association.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was preceded in death by brothers Merle and Ralph Hepworth.
Survivors include his wife, sons Charles Michael (Kathy) Hepworth II of Kennewick, Dr. W. Bradford (Cathi) Hepworth of Bainbridge Island; daughter Tyann (Mike) Williamson of
Colbert; sister Yvonne H. Chatburn of Cheney; brother John C. Hepworth of Twin Falls, Idaho; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
