Robert Clowes

A private burial will be held in Forest Lawn for Robert Clowes, 70, office manager for Canada Dry Bottling Co. and a veteran of World War II.
Clowes, who served as a captain and squadron navigator with the 8th Air Force in England, died Wednesday (April 19, 1989) in Buffalo General Hospital.
He was in the service from 1941 to 1945.
He was a graduate of Lafayette High School and Bryant & Stratton Business Institute. He had worked for Canada Dry since 1978 and was the company's cost and general accountant. He began his accounting and ofce managing career in 1939 at the Washington Fillmore Foundry and, except for his time in the service, worked there until 1951.
Clowes, who was not married, subsequently worked for several rms before going to work for the bottling company.
He is survived by a sister, Jane Benzin of South Wales. A memorial Mass will be offered at a later date.
