Charles Louis DeAinza, 91, passed away peacefully at his home in Houston on Friday, February 26, 2016. Born June 6, 1924 to parents Augustine F. and Guadalupe DeAinza, Mr. DeAinza was a proud veteran of the United States Army Air Corp serving during WWII. He was a member of the 8th Air Force 95th Bomb Group.

Known as an avid and accomplished golfer, his many friends at golf clubs in Houston will dearly miss him. Charles enjoyed his Big Wellcraft Cruiser up on Lake Conroe of Walden for 15 years, his pride and joy. Charles was the life of the party and spent many hours dancing with his lovely wife, Barbara. They were married over 30-years. Charles retired from the oil and gas industry in 1987.

Mr. DeAinza is survived by his wife Barbara and one son, Patrick DeAinza and his wife Libby. And a nephew, Jerry DeAinza and his wife Nancy. A visitation is planned for Thursday, March 3, 2016 from ten o'clock until eleven o'clock in the morning followed by the funeral service at eleven o'clock. All services will be at the Woodlawn Funeral Home Chapel, 1101 Antoine Dr. Houston, Texas 77055. In lieu of owers, the family requests making a donation to your favorite charity or to The Wounded Warriors Project.
