Paul A. Albert, Jr., born in Wilkes-Barre, PA on April 18, 1923, was the son of Paul A. Albert and Ida Jones Albert. He passed away September 29, 2014. He was a graduate of Lebanon High School, East Strousburg State Teacher's College, Penn State University as a Master of Education, and Antioch College as Master of Science Teaching. Paul had been married to Elizabeth L. Albert (Nee Youtz) for 65 loving years.

Paul served as a science teacher and coach at Westhampton Beach, L.I., New York from 1949 to 1952. He served at Babylon Jr.-Sr. High School, Babylon, L.I. New York from 1952 until retirement in 1979, rst as a science teacher and football assistant until 1954 and then as head basketball coach until 1964. He was the science department chairman and then math-science curriculum coordinator from 1975-1979. In 1958, he was named the coach of the year for Suffolk County by the Long Island and Press and in 1959 received the same award by the New York Daily News.

After retirement, he served as scout for the National Football League Combine of Buffalo, Dallas, San Francisco and Seattle, scouting The U.S.F.L. teams that played the Philadelphia Stars. Paul also served as an Education Consultant to the L.K. Comstock Co. Inc. developing and administering a scholarship program in honor of the company founder, Mr. Charles L. Scharfe.

He served in WWII as an aerial gunner, flying 35 missions with the 95th Bomb Group of the Eight Air Force. Paul was honored with the distinguished Flying Cross and the Air Medal with four oak leaf clusters.

Brother of Thomas Albert (deceased) of Lebanon, and John Albert of Cleona, PA. He is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be on Friday, October 3, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at Grace UCC, 1000 S. 5th Ave., Lebanon. Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, with full military honors. There will be a visitation held one hour prior to the services, from 9:30 till 10:30 a.m. In lieu of owers, request is made that any monetary gifts offered be designated to the Capital Campaign of the Church. www.kreamerfuneralhome.com
